Plea for proper power supply

KOCHI: The Consumer Guidance Cell of the Federation of Consumer Organisations, Kerala, has complained to the Chief Engineer of the Kerala State Electricity Board to take immediate steps to restore normality in power supply to the Thammanam Pump House so that people get proper water supply. A statement by the director of the cell says the pump house fails to function because of frequent power breakdowns. Many parts of the city, such as Poonithura, Thykoodam, Vyttila and Thripunithura municipality, went without water from May 27 to 29 and on June 1, 4, 7, 8 and 14. — Staff Reporter
