Sewage line to be repaired

KOCHI: Kochi Refineries Ltd. will repair a damaged sewage pipeline at Iyyattumukku within a week under the supervision of the Kerala Water Authority.

The decision was taken at a meeting convened by the District Collector to discuss the repair and completion of the Hudco drinking water project.

The Kerala Water Authority will meet the expense for constructing five culverts damaged on K.P. Vallon Road while laying pipelines for the project.

The construction will begin on Monday. Sand and silt accumulated in the drains near the Kathrikadavu bridge will be removed.

Potholes on the road at Kadavanthra junction will be filled before June 22 and repair of K.P. Vallon Road will begin on July 7.

District Collector A.P.M. Mohammad Hanish; Corporation Secretary Mini Antony; Deputy Mayor C.K. Manisankar; K.V. Thomas, MLA; the councillors V.K. Thankaraj, Johnson, T.K. Padmanabhan and K.X. Francis; Kerala Water Authority Chief Engineer Susan Jacob and Kochi Refineries General Manager E. Nandakumar attended the meeting.
