Sarojinidevi memorial chess tournament

Udumalpet: The fifth N.A. Sarojinidevi Memorial rolling Trophy chess tournament for open, under-7, 9, 11, 15 and 17 age-group boys and girls will be held at the IMA Hall in Iswarya Nagar here on June 17.

Srinivasan is president

At Salem, Dr. P. Srinivasan has been elected president of the Salem District Cricket Association in its sixth Annual General Body Meeting recently.

Media cricket

At Coimbatore, the seventh annual district-level Classic Polo inter-media cricket tournament for the Coimbatore Midtown Rotary rolling Trophy, organised by the Coimbatore District Sports and Games Welfare Association, will be held at the CIT College inner grounds from June 17 at 8 a.m. The final is slated for July 1. The winner of this tournament will play in the tri-series inter-district media tournament to be held on a later date.
