: ZCA West emerged champion in the Col. Hemu Adhikari Trophy NCA inter-academy cricket tournament that concluded here on Thursday. In the final at the IAF Ground, ZCA West defeated ZCA North by 177 runs. Chasing 372 in its second innings, ZCA North scored 195 in 47 overs with Virat Kohli slamming 107 while spinner Swapnil Singh bagged six wickets. NCA director Shivlal Yadav and former India seamer Javagal Srinath graced the investiture ceremony and gave away the prizes. "Be patient because cricket is a game in which things suddenly happen and you should be prepared for that. Work hard, always love the game and also keep a track of your education," Srinath exhorted the lads. The scores (final): ZCA West 354 in 109.2 overs and 300 in 90.5 overs (Iqbal Abdulla 59, Aman Preet Singh four for 58) bt ZCA North 282 in 93.2 overs and 195 in 47 overs (Virat Kohli 107, Swapnil Singh six in 41). Special awards: Best batsmen: Manish Pandey; Best bowler: Iqbal Abdulla; Player of the series: Virat Kohli.
