KADAPA: Congress will ensure passing of Womens Reservation Bill to extend 33 per cent quota to women if it regains power in the 2009 elections, Proddatur MLA N. Varadarajulu Reddy said on Friday. Lauding selection of Rajasthan Governor Pratibha Patil as UPA’s Presidential candidate, Mr. Reddy told newsmen at Proddatur that selection of a woman is indicative of the party’s commitment to women. UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy are determined to extend 33 per cent reservation to women, Mr. Reddy said. Congress leaders E.V.
