Free training in apparel design

CHENNAI: The Apparel Training and Design Centre here, in association with National Backward Classes Finance and Development Corporation, will offer free training for students belonging to Backward and Most Backward communities.

Application forms for the same will be accepted for courses in Production Supervision, Pattern Cutting Masters’ Course, Quality Control and Garment Construction. Applications may be submitted in person or sent to the Chairman, Apparel Training and Design Centre (Sponsored by Apparel Export Promotion Council, Government of India, Ministry of Textiles), 116-B, Vellalar Street, Mogappair (West), Chennai.

Eligibility for the Masters’ course in Pattern Cutting and course in Garment Construction is completion of Class 10, and Class 12 for the courses in Production Supervision and Quality Control. The course duration is from 4-6 months. Last day for receipt of applications is June 22.
