Archive of original works to be set up at NIN

Hyderabad: As a tribute to eminent scientist Yellapragada Subba Row, the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) is funding the establishment of an archive to house all original works and scientific contributions at the National Institute of Nutrition (NIN) here. According to NIN director B. Sesikeran, the institute was chosen since Dr. Row belonged to Andhra Pradesh and had done a lot of work relating to nutrition, including discovery of folic acid. Dr. Sesikeran said that all original works and the laboratory notebooks of Dr. Row would be digitised.

The archive would be ready by January next when a publicationwould be brought out.
