India’s first 120-inch LED TV launched


DigiScreen-6i-120 is an indoor display product built with modular building block and premium features

Hyderabad: India’s first 120 inch LED television “MIC – DigiScreen-6i-120” manufactured by Hyderabad based MIC Electronics Limited was launched here on Friday by Union Minister for Human Resources Development Arjun Singh..

The DigiScreen-6i-120 is an indoor display product built with modular building block.

It has premium features like 6.35 mm pixel resolution and high brightness of 35000 NIT.

Sharp pictures

The TV is most suitable for indoor display applications like convention centres, concerts, events, newsrooms, live shows, mega shopping malls, airports, clubs, universities and multiplexes.

Equipped with high bright NICIA three-in-one SMD LED chips and state-of-the-art electronic control, the TV delivers sharp and highly contrasting pictures in different lighting situations of indoor entertainment. Automatic intensity control feature enables the display to deliver the picture adjusted to ambient light which provides strain-free viewing at all times.

Addressing the gathering after the launch, Mr. Arjun Singh exuded confidence that the country would discharge its duty to the world as a hub of knowledge.

He said by 2015 more and more universities would be set up in the country as explosion of knowledge picks up.

Key role

The Union Minister of State for HRD D.Purandeswari said LED would play a vital role in rural electrification.

She said more than 1 lakh villages in the country were still to be electrified. The MIC Electronics Managing Director M. V. Ramana Rao, Nichia Corporation (Japan) Director Mineo Sei and MIC Middle East Managing Director Kalani M.Lal spoke.
