State for action against obscene posters

Hyderabad: The State Government has issued instructions to the Cyberabad Police Commissioner and all the district Collectors to initiate necessary steps towards controlling obscenity in various media and also take stringent action against those involved in disfigurement of public and private spaces through objectionable film posters and advertisements. These instructions were issued under Section 11 (3) of the Andhra Pradesh Prevention of Disfigurement of Open Places and Prohibition of Obscenity and Objectionable Posters and Advertisements Act 1997, according to a statement issued here on Friday.
