Four injured in Amritsar blast

Amritsar: Four persons were injured, two of them seriously, after a crude bomb exploded at a garbage dumping area in the Army Cantonment here on Saturday.

The injured were on contract with the Military Engineering Service and rummaging through the garbage in the Sadar area when the bomb exploded, district police chief Kunwar Vijay Partap Singh said. He ruled out that the blast was caused by an IED. — PTI
