Appeal to Government

BIDAR: Various Pro -Basaveshwara organisations have appealed to the Government to ban the book “Aanudeva Horaganavanu” that claims the 12th century saint was a Dalit and not a Brahmin as believed.

In a memorandum to Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy, the Basava Tatva Nishtha Sanghatanegala Okkoota has accused the author Banjagere Jayaprakash of conspiring to disturb the communal harmony in the society. The okkoota has demanded criminal action against him. It has set a deadline of ten days to ban the sale of the book.
