BERHAMPUR: Oriya films still attract crowd during festive season. Attraction increases during the continuing Raja festival. Women and girls from rural areas as well as from the city throng in large number to watch them. Film producers in Orissa always try to coincide their releases with festivals. On the occasion of ‘Raja’, two films – ‘Mu Tote Luv Karuchhi’ and ‘Pagal Premi’ – were released. Both of them are running to packed houses. A large chunk of the audience is women. On Saturday, long queues of women competed with the queues for men at these theatres. To cash in on the rush, another hall preferred to re-run an old film, ‘To Pain Nebi Mu Sahe Janam’. This flick replaced a recently released Hindi blockbuster only after a week of its release in the city. Even black marketing of tickets returned with the ‘Raja’ rush for Oriya movies.
