BANGALORE: Shruthi and Chaitanya Music Academy have jointly organised a grand musical evening by Susma Somasekharan, accompanied by Vittal Rangam on the violin and R. Raghunath on the mridangam.
The event will be held at the Sri Rama Mandiram Hall in Malleswaram here on Sunday at 6.15 p.m.
A young achiever in music, Ms. Susma Somasekharan has won several prizes and was selected twice as the best student by the Singapore Indian Fine Arts Society. She won the title “Sangeetha Visharad” in 2003.
She came second in the open category vocal conducted by the National Arts Council and also won the All India Radio competition for Carnatic vocal.
She has also displayed her skills on the violin, theatre, science club activities and Tamil language competitions.
