JAMMU: Security forces in Jammu and Kashmir have arrested two Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) militants, who were allegedly planning to target the Amarnath yatra, and recovered three grenades from them. The two LeT militants Rayais Hayat Khan and Aijaz Ahmed were arrested on Friday when security forces intercepted a vehicle coming from Mendhar area of Poonch district at Akhnoor bridge in the district on inputs provided by the military intelligence, official sources said here. A search of the vehicle led to the recovery of the grenades from inside the speakers. The militants, who were handed over to the police, revealed during interrogation that they had taken admission in a college for a BCA degree and had been directed by the LeT's ``deputy divisional commander'' Mohammad Ayoub Khan alias Abu Ayubi to attack the yatra on its day of commencement on June 30 here. They said they were given Rs. 25,000 which was recovered by the security forces for the plan.
