TIRUNELVELI: Three persons, including a painter and his two daughters, were drowned in Tamirabarani on Saturday. Police said Ammaiyappan (40) of Veeravanallur, working as a painter at Neyveli, had come to his native place with his family. The mishap occurred while he was crossing the river with A. Karthika (13) and A. Rajalakshmi (5). The bodies of Ammaiyappan and Karthika were recovered on Sunday. — Staff Reporter
