Marudupandiyar Group of Educational Institutions comprise, Marudupandiyar College of Arts & Science, Marupandiyar College of Education, Marudupandiyar Teacher Training Institution, Bharathidasan Teacher Training Institute and Muthukumaran Teacher Training Institute. These institutions were started in 1996 by Athivetti Karumuthu Valli Educational Trust which has a deep concern for the society. It is situated on an 8 – acre Land, on Thanjavur – Trichy Main Road in beautiful ambience near R.T.O Office in Thanjavur. The campus is hygienic and has all facilities and the classroom and Laboratories are accommodated in huge building. This college being fully alive to educational environment offers almost all courses which have great employment opportunities.
Weekly Test: Weekly tests are conducted in cyclical orders. Every Tuesday marks will be announced to students and they would be counselled according to their progress and deficiencies. After cycle tests are over, progress Report would be despatched to the parents. These test ensure them to prepare for the University examination. Laboratories: In addition to imparting academic matters and to face the challenges posed by the modern age, practical Training in also imparted in the Departments of computer Science, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Bio chemistry, Physics, Bio-informatics, Information Technology, Hotel Management & Catering Science. With the help of the state - of- Art Laboratory and equipments we give the best possible training to students to make them experts in their fields. Campus interview:- The college also arranges for the campus interview for those who complete the job oriented courses. It is remarkable that in the campus interview held by TATA Indicom this year, Our students numbering 42 have obtained placement orders as Marketing executives. Play Ground The play ground is spread over a wide area which caters the needs of both the track and field events. This ground has a speciality of hosting a good number of university tournaments. It has volley ball courts separately for girls and boys. This academic year our physical education Department conducted the inter collegiate Volleyball Tournament. Hostel Separate hostels for boys and girls with all facilities are available. The inmates are served with delicious food. The students are not allowed to go out of the hostel without the prior permission. Everyday study hours are strictly enforced students are permitted to go home once in a month and on other important occasions only. University Rank Holders The college has secured as many as 13 university ranks in recent examinations. Special Features: Any students of this institutions join in PG Diploma as a dual course will get concession of 20% for all semesters, College Bus facility from all over the town, Free bus service for all 1st year students.
