Former Minister’s car damaged

MADURAI: The car of former All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam Minister O. Paneerselvam was stoned here on Sunday.

The windshield of the car was damaged. Mr. Paneerselvam escaped unhurt, police sources said. The AIADMK urban district secretary, V.V. Rajan Chellappa, alleged that a Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam party worker who was standing in the crowd during the campaign threw the stone.

The vehicle used by the former Minister had the official pass issued by the Returning Officer, he said.
