Happy if consensus on Kalam emerges: Shekhawat

NEW DELHI: The Vicepresident and National Democratic Alliance presidential candidate, Bhairon Singh Shekhawat, said on Monday he would be happy if total unanimity was achieved to give President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam a second term.

Hours after the Third Front proposed a second term for Mr. Kalam, Mr. Shekhawat issued a statement to say it would be gratifying if he were to agree to be President for yet another term.
