This Day That Age
Prime Minister Nehru flew into Helsinki on June 18 from Copenhagen on a three-day goodwill visit to Finland. Mr. Nehru, who was travelling in a private aircraft, arrived over Helsinki 12 minutes ahead of schedule and then, in order not to upset the reception arrangements, his plane circled over the beautiful lakes and forests for which Finland is famous. Mr. Nehru was welcomed by Finland’s Prime Minister, Mr. Vieno Sukselainen, the Foreign Minister, Mr. Johannes Virolainen, and the Indian Ambassador in Stockholm, Mr. Chopra, who is also accredited in Helsinki.
