UNPA leaders to meet Kalam today

CHENNAI: Leaders of the newly launched United National Progressive Alliance (UNPA), including general secretary of the All-India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) Jayalalithaa, would call on President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam on Wednesday.

The AIADMK headquarters, said in a release here, on Tuesday that Mr. Kalam had granted an appointment to them at 3.30 p.m. on Wednesday. They would meet Mr. Kalam and persuade him to contest for the post of President for another term.
