CHENNAI: Two persons riding a two-wheeler were killed after the rider reportedly dashed against a central median on East Coast Road in the early hours on Monday. Police said Natarajan (18) and Prakash (19) of Periyar Nagar in Tiruvanmiyur were returning from a market, when the two-wheeler dashed against a central median near Valmiki Temple. Both the youths died. They were not wearing helmets. Police suspect that poor visibility on the road could be a reason for the accident. They are also probing the case from the hit-and-run angle as some relatives of the victims raised doubts. The bodies were sent to Government Royapettah Hospital for post-mortem. Doctor dies
In another accident, a doctor was killed after the car he was driving collided with a lorry near Poonamallee High Road on Sunday night. Police identified the victim as Gopikrishnan of Avadi.
