Dharna by all-party Telangana MLAs

HYDERABAD: Cutting across party lines, Telangana MLAs from different political parties staged a ‘dharna’ in front of Mahatma Gandhi statue in the Assembly premises on Tuesday demanding that a meeting of the House Committee on GO 610 be convened immediately.

T. Devender Goud of Telugu Desam, Chada Venkat Reddy of CPI, J. Ranga Reddy of CPI (M) and T. Harish Rao of TRS, all members of the House Committee expressed surprise at the way the meeting of the panel was being put off on one pretext or the other. After meeting among themselves, they marched out holding placards.
