Kappa to design rugby team jersey

MUMBAI: Kappa, the Italian sportswear company, will design the official jersey of the Indian rugby team for the 2007 season.

Kingfisher will be the official refresher to Indian rugby, announced the Indian Rugby Football Union (IRFU) President Pramod Khanna, during a media briefing at the Bombay Gymkhana on Monday. Hutch completes the trio of rugby benefactors as title sponsor. The Kappa-designed official kit was unveiled by the national rugby probables, along with model Gauhar Khan.

Kappa, brought to India by Dubai-based Landmark Group (LMG Brands), is associated with the Italian rugby federation (Fedrazione Italiana Rugby) since 2001 as sponsor. — Special Correspondent
