Opposition insulting Kalam: Lalu

PATNA: Railway Minister Lalu Prasad on Tuesday accused the Opposition parties of insulting President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam by proposing his candidature for the top post for a second term.

He criticised the BJP and the RSS for projecting Mr. Kalam’s name knowing well that UPA candidate Pratibha Patil had a good lead of over 1.25 lakh votes. “They are ridiculing the President. They are indulging in politics.”
