Young achiever honoured

CHENNAI: Exnora International on Monday conferred the ‘Exnora Gem’ award on 23-year-old Cyriac Kodath in recognition of his services in tsunami relief projects.

The economics graduate from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi, opted to spend two years doing social work after completing his undergraduate degree. Speakers at the function pointed out that he was the youngest recipient of the award. Exnora International president Sulochana Ramaseshan hailed his service to the tsunami-affected as project director of the Exnora Tsunami Relief Projects.

Exnora International founder M.B. Nirmal said Mr. Kodath drafted Exnora’s nomination for the Dubai Municipality International Award, which won the organisation a Best Practices Award from the United Nations.
