Free training to work in tourism industry

Coimbatore: Madura Travel Services Private Limited, Chennai, will offer a three-month free course to the physically challenged, transgenders and those who have been brought up in orphanages, to enable them to work in the tourism industry.

A company release said the candidates would have to attend a one-hour class every day for three months. Every batch would have 20 students. The minimum eligibility would be a pass in Plus Two.

The course would cover topics on passport, visa, insurance, migration, immigration, money exchange, computerised reservation, sightseeing guidance, shopping, hotel reservation and public relations.

Those who complete the course successfully would be guaranteed a job in the tourism or hospitality industry, the release added.

Classes would begin from first week of July. Candidates would be selected after an interview.
