KURNOOL: A seven-member gang struck at a merchant’s house in Adoni town on Monday night and relieved a merchant of currency, gold and silver ornaments worth Rs 20 lakhs. According to reports, the gang members entered the house by breaking open the doors and threatened the merchant, T.G. Pandurangaiah Setty, at knife point and relieved him of the valuables. According to the victims, the gang took away Rs 5.5. lakh in cash, Rs 40 kg silver and 28 tolas gold.
