‘Raise groundnut seed quota’

KADAPA: Lok Satta leaders have demanded enhancement of groundnut seed quota, grant of fresh crop loans, and payment of crop insurance on previous crop loans to farmers. In a memorandum to district Collector M.T. Krishna Babu, Lok Satta district president P. Venugopal and party incharge of Kamalapuram and Jammalamadugu constituencies S.V. Ramana Reddy said 5,200 bags of groundnut seed allotted to Yerraguntla mandal is inadequate for the crop sowing area of 14,167 acres. Staff Reporter
