Heavy rain

SIRSI: There has been heavy rainfall in Uttara Kannada District for the

past three days. In Karwar, boulders piled up along the beach to check sea erosion are being washed away. In Honnavar taluk, 15 houses got submerged in water in Pavinkurva Island and a house belonging to Manjunath Mesta has been damaged on Monday. In Bhatkal taluk, too boulders along the Talgod beach have been washed away. There have been disruptiosn in power supply in Sirsi, Siddapur and Yellapur taluks. — Correspondent
