DINDIGUL: Train services were disrupted for half an hour as a large branch of an old tree fell on a railway track at Nallamanarkottai near Eriyode railway station here on Tuesday evening, owing to a gale. Later, a passenger train engine from Eriyode station was sent to the spot to pull the branch away from the track. Meanwhile, the Erode-Tirunelveli passenger going to Tirunelveli was stopped at Eriyode station. After removing the tree branch, the train was allowed to go. Several old trees were uprooted by the gale in Vedasandur and Erioyode areas.
