Bidar
Bidar: Gram panchayats in Bidar have failed to collect tax of Rs. 15.69 crore from the people in the year 2006-2007. The zilla panchayat has informed this to the Third State Finance Commission. This year, Rs. 1.5 crore has been collected as tax. This includes Rs. 42 lakh in Bidar, Rs. 34 lakh in Aurad, Rs. 25 lakh in Bhalki, Rs. 23 in Humnabad, and Rs. 30 lakh in Basava Kalyan taluk, a release said. — Staff Correspondent
