Woman commits suicide

A 20-year-old woman allegedly committed suicide at her house in Kaarapakkam near Thoraipakkam on Tuesday. Sumithra allegedly poured kerosene and set herself ablaze. Wife of Devarajan, plumber, the victim was working as an attendant at a call centre in Velachery. The motive behind the suicide was yet to be established, police said, adding an investigation by a Revenue Divisional Officer had been ordered. The couple had married two years ago.
