Teenager’s body retrieved from temple tank

TAMBARAM: The body of a teenager, who drowned in a temple tank on Sunday in Kannagi Nagar, Thoraipakkam, was retrieved by fire and rescue services personnel on Monday morning. A. Manikandan (17) and a group of friends, had climbed aboard makeshift rafts and entered the tank. The thermocol raft gave way and Manikandan fell into the tank. On Monday morning, firemen retrieved his body. A school drop out, Manikandan was searching for a job, police said.
