Action against two MCD lab assistants

NEW DELHI: The Municipal Corporation of Delhi has initiated action against two laboratory assistants of Swami Dayanand Hospital in the trans-Yamuna area for “indulging in irregularities”.

The MCD Health Committee chairman, Vinod Kumar Monga, said Rajinder Kumar has been suspended with immediate effect, while Vinod Kumar, who was working with the MCD on a contractual basis, has been dismissed.

A sting operation carried out by a TV news channel revealed alleged discrepancies in the functioning of several blood-banks in the Capital. Subsequently, the MCD set up a committee to look into the matter.
