‘Kalyanamastu’ on August 26

GUNTUR: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam will conduct the second phase of mass marriages under ‘kalyanamastu’ programme at the TTD kalyanamandapam here on August 26 at 11.10 a.m.

Thumping success of the first phase of the ‘kalyanamastu’ had enthused the TTD to take up the mass marriages again for which the eligible bride and bridegrooms must apply with their photographs, birth certificates, photo identity proof to the nearest TTD office at district level before August 10. TTD Divisional Engineer Gangaraju at a press conference here on Tuesday said that TTD chairman B. Karunakar Reddy would conduct an awareness programme for couples on July 5 at 10 a.m. at the TTD kalyanamandapam here.

All couples would be provided with ‘thali’, new clothes and other essential items for the celebration, he added.
