Suresh Kumar to resume work

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Special Officer K. Suresh Kumar, heading the Special Task Force (STF) for evictions and demolitions, returned to Munnar on Wednesday to resume his work.

Mr. Suresh Kumar had gone on leave following a meeting of the Cabinet sub-committee on evictions last Tuesday. The Officer met Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan in the morning and later told the media that the Chief Minister had asked him to return to Munnar.

The Chief Minister told journalists after Wednesday’s Cabinet meeting that the STF would decide on further evictions after a conference on Thursday. He said the decisions on the resorts of the Abad group at Munnar and the Dhanyasree resort would be speeded up.
