TD MLAs lock agriculture office

HYDERABAD: Slogan-shouting Telugu Desam MLAs and MLCs marched to the Agriculture Commissioner’s office here on Wednesday and locked the premises for some time saying the Government had failed to ensure supply of seed to farmers when they required it the most.

Party legislators, including P. Keshav, E. Dayakar Rao, D. Umamaheswara Rao, Lalitha Kumari, P. Raghunath Reddy, P. Yadagiri and Shailaja, alleged that the Government had failed to anticipate the requirement of seed. From Adilabad to Anantapur and East Godavari to Prakasam, farmers had to wait for hours together to get a bag of seed.
