NEW DELHI: Former Punjab Ranji player Sandeep Sawal bagged five wickets to steer Indian Airlines to 67-run win over Collage Sports Group in the quarterfinal match of the DDCA Hot Weather cricket tournament at the Ferozeshah Kotla ground here on Wednesday. Leg spinner Sawal (five for 40) and Vineet Jain (two for 41) had Collage scampering for cover before being bowled out for 170 in reply to Indian Airlines’s 237 for four. In the semifinals on Friday, Indian Airlines will meet Kishan Ganj Colts, which defeated South Delhi Colts by seven wickets in another quarterfinal match. The scores ( quarterfinals): South Delhi Colts 145 in 35 overs (Sanjeev Kumar 41) lost to Kishan Ganj Colts 146 for three in 20.3 overs (Lokesh Sharma 72 not out, Abhishek Kaushik 40); Indian Airlines 237 for four in 40 overs (Rohit Prakash 72, Man vinder Bisla 54, Ravneet Ricky 44, Deepak Joon 41) bt Collage Sports Group 170 in 34.4 overs (Amardeep Sonkar 41, Sandeep Sawal five for 40).
