Power shutdown on June 23

Coimbatore: There will be no power supply from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on June 23 in the following places due to shutdown of K.K. Pudur sub-station for maintenance work: Mettupalayam Road from Saibaba Colony to Kavundampalayam Fire Service Station, State Bank Colony, Krishna Nagar, Jeeva nagar, Indira Nagar, K.K. Pudur, Giri Nagar, K.G. Layout, Sri Devi Nagar and Avinashilingam College area.

The following persons were elected office-bearers of the Coimbatore Management Association for 2007-2009: R. Nandagopal – Director, PSG Institute of Management (president), S. Ramesh Kumar – Branch Manager, HDFC (secretary), S. Paramasivam – tax consultant (treasurer) and U.K. Ananthapadmanaban – Senior Vice-President of KMCH and S.K. Singha Rai - Senior DGM of L&T (vice-presidents).

Srirangam Srimath Andavan Sri Ranga Ramanuja Mahadesikan will visit Coimbatore for two weeks from July 12. He will be staying at Sri Jagannatha Perumal Temple, Siddhapudur.

A special music festival will be held on July 14 and 15 and July 21 and 22, a release said.

The PSG College of Nursing will organise a workshop on “Innovative methods of teaching in nursing” on June 22 and 23, a press release said.
