THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Minister for Home and Tourism Kodiyeri Balakrishnan has said the concept of responsible tourism will be introduced in Kovalam, Thekkady, Wayanad and Kumarakom in the State. Replying to a debate on the demands for grants for Tourism in the Assembly on Thursday, the Minister said a conference was planned to discuss the implications. Mr. Balakrishnan announced that destination management committees would be set up in all tourist centres. The Government planned to organise 1,080 cultural programmes in 36 centres during the current year for tourism promotion.
