CHENNAI: India notched up its first win with a convincing 3-0 effort over Sri Lanka in the Asian Central zone volleyball championship in Islamabad. India won 25-16, 25-17, 25-19 in 65 minutes. According to information reaching here, libero Sivarajan played a stellar role, while Ukkrapandian shone as a setter. While Srikanth was as usual in fine form in his attacks, there was better coordination between G. Pradeep and Sube Singh in raising the blocks.
