BHUBANESWAR: Godrej Appliances, a leading player in home appliances, announced its plans to enhance its presence in Orissa with the launch of several new energy efficient products and customer initiatives to suit the needs of both the urban and rural markets. Making the announcements, chief operating officer of Godrej Appliances, George Menezes said, “Orissa is a very progressive state where increased household incomes and modern lifestyles has indicated a rising demand for premium products like our EON range.” The EON range is a distinct group of products catering to the premium market segment. He said while Godrej was the number four AC brand with a 10 per cent market share, it was the third largest selling microwave oven brand in the state with identical market share. In washing machines, microwave ovens, air conditioners and DVD players, the company was also fast grabbing market shares from its competitors and soon expecting to establish a total leadership position for itself in the State, the COO said.
