The institute’s medical college in the private sector is also coming up soon

ONGOLE: Vijaya Teja Institute of Medical Technology will start a dental college, dental hospital and research centre at Yedugundlapadu village near here this year.

The dental college in private sector will start functioning from August with an intake of 50 students. The dental hospital will be opened on Friday.

Speaking to newspersons here on Thursday, institute director Ch Girinadh said they would also start medical college in private sector soon. Legal hurdles had been cleared in this regard.

The management was planning to construct a hospital with 350 beds on its campus at Yedugundlapadu to provide clinical facilities to students.

As a government medical college has already been sanctioned for Ongole, the town will have two medical colleges to render better medical services to people, he felt.
