Fishermen advised not to venture into sea Rainfall recorded in most parts of the State
BHUBANESWAR: Weather is likely to remain squally on Friday with easterly wind speed reaching 50 km to 60 km per hour along the South Orissa coast under influence of a depression formed over the Bay of Bengal at a distance of about 430 km from south south-east of Goplapur. Heavy to very heavy rains are likely to occur at isolated places over the Orissa due to depression, said local meteorological office here on Thursday. The system was likely to intensify further and moved in west north westerly direction and will cross north Andhra Pradesh coast between Narsapur and Visakhapatnam by Friday afternoon. Local cautionary signal number-3 was hoisted at Gopalpur, Puri and Paradip and fishermen were advised not to venture into open sea, it said. Meanwhile, people had a respite from high humidity condition as it rained over most parts of the state during the day.
