KURNOOL: Silver Jubilee College (autonomous) here adopted the content from The Hindu as its course material for English language for the first and second year degree students. The Board of Studies of English Department, which met he re on Thursday, formally adopted the newspaper to teach its students, reading and writing skills in four semesters. The section carries 50 marks in the annual examination. M. Sarat Babu, Head of the Department, chaired the meeting while V.V.N. Rajendra Prasad, Professor of English at SK University attended the meeting as academic expert and nominee from the university. The members felt that since the use of English underwent a drastic change, only dynamic course material like a newspaper would be more suitable.
