HYDERABAD: Union Minister of State for Mines T. Subbarami Reddy on Thursday denied that he had any differences with Commercial Taxes Minister Konathala Ramakrishna and described it as “media creation”. Talking to reporters here, he said Mr. Ramakrishna was like a “younger brother” to him. Besides, there was no chance of clash of interests between the two as he was a Central Minister and Mr. Ramakrishna was a Minister in the State Cabinet. Both were interested in the development of Visakhapatnam. Mr. Reddy said that he was a “friend of all” and never involved himself in “group politics”. On the charges traded by two Congress MLAs, S. Ranga Raju and G. Babji, he said that both of them had made those remarks in a fit of anger. Stating that he was “sorry” for what had happened, Mr. Reddy said that he and other Congress leaders had advised both the MLAs and they had agreed to bury the hatchet. Asked if the incident would not tarnish the image of Congress, he said the people were interested in development and not in such issues. He said that whenever such “mistakes” occur, everyone should try to ensure that they were not repeated.
