THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The State public sector Transformers and Electricals Kerala Ltd. (TELK) is to become a joint sector company involving the State Government and the National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC). At a press conference here on Thursday, Industries Minister Elamaram Karim said the State would hand over 44.6 per cent of its stake in TELK to the NTPC. The agreement for this would be signed at a function at TELK at Angamali in Ernakulam district on Saturday. Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan would attend the function. Mr. Karim said the NTPC’s involvement in TELK would pave the way for stupendous growth of the company.
