CHENNAI: Puthiya Thamizhagam founder K. Krishnasamy on Thursday appealed to the Election Commission to take note of scores of complaints of gross misuse of government machinery, including money, in the run-up to the byelection to the Madurai West Assembly constituency.
He told reporters here that contesting elections with money power was not reflective of democracy and the Election Commission should not hesitate to postpone the byelection.
It had decided to organise a national-level “right to livelihood conference” on December 15, coinciding with the 10th anniversary of the party.
