KOCHI: Viswa Hindu Parishad leader Kummanam Rajasekharan has urged the State Government to initiate action against all foreign missionaries who are conducting conversions illegally. Those found violating visa regulations should be arrested and prosecuted. He said here on Thursday that during the last three years, five foreign missionaries from the U.S. had been leading conversion activities in the State after establishing churches and convention centres. Many families were converted to Christianity by deceit at gospel conventions by these missionaries. Seven American missionaries attended the convention held here on June 14, 15 and 16. Most of these works were done while visiting the country on tourist and business visas, he said. Unless these illegal activities of foreign missionaries were stopped, protest marches would be organised to their bases and convention centres, Mr. Rajasekharan said.
