Belgaum: The Belgaum district unit of Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU) has demanded a probe by the Central Bureau of Investigation into the alleged large scale corruption and financial irregularities in the Raibag Sahakara Sakkare Karkhane Limited, Raibag. The CITU, who submitted a memorandum to the Government here on Friday, threatened to give a call for “Karnataka bandh” if the former chairman of the sugar factory V.L. Patil and his sons created obstacles to the restarting of the factory which has remained closed for the past six years. — Staff Correspondent
